Low Boat Pose

Begin in a supine position, with the head about a foot away from the trunk. The legs should be fully extended, relaxed down on the ground. Reach back and grab on to the tree. Next, keeping the legs extended, lift them a few inches off the ground. Pause here and hold this position for several breaths. Maintain length through the toes, and maintain a neutral spine — as opposed to overarching in the lower back. For a greater challenge, gently press the lower back down into the ground.
