Plow Pose

There are 2 main ways to practice this pose. First, we can have the feet connected to the trunk. Second, we can give ourselves more space. A direct connection to the tree is often best, however we get benefit from just being close to the tree — in the positive electromagnetic field.

For the first way, you will probably have to play around with the starting distance between you and the trunk. Begin in a supine position, with the head and shoulders about 3 or 4 feet away from the tree. Adjust accordingly once you experiment — moving closer or farther away. Bring the knees into the chest. Next, lift the hips and stack them over the shoulders. You can use the arms to help you get into alignment. Send the legs back and over the head — placing the soles of the feet on the tree. Breathe deeply, and walk the feet down the trunk as you become more flexible. It is important to not look left or right in this pose. This can injure the neck. Keep everything in one line — especially the head. For the second way, just start slightly farther away from the tree. Use the same setup. The only difference is that the feet will not be connected to the tree. Instead, relax the legs down towards the ground while they are over the head. As you become more flexible, the toes will eventually touch the ground.
