Wide V-Sit

Start in a seated position, facing the tree. Send the legs out into a wide “V shape”. Keeping the spine long throughout the pose, reach out in front and grab on to the tree. Use the tree to help pull you deeper into the stretch. Practice for several deep breaths. You may have to play around with the distance between you and the tree. Initially, start closer to the tree. However, once your flexibility improves, set up farther away from the trunk.
