Tribute

Beyond Time, Beyond Limits

Almost everything about Tabauhris is truly unbelievable — from how I met him to how it all ended, and everything in between. Although Tabauhris considered me to be his yoga teacher, I consider him the greatest yoga teacher I ever had.

Tabauhris freed my mind in ways that words can never adequately describe. He dissolved limiting beliefs, and showed me things that I thought were impossible were actually possible. For example, Tabauhris could balance on one foot for over 90 minutes. That is not a typo. Many people have a difficult time balancing for 90 seconds, never mind 90 minutes! To be honest, when he first told me about this, I didn't think it was possible and I thought he was crazy or exaggerating. However, he then did it in front of me during one of our yoga lessons. I have never seen anyone close to as physically fit as Tabauhris — either in-person or on the Internet.

Tabauhris was more than a master of the body. He was also a master of the mind. I have been studying yoga for over 15 years, yet Tabauhris is the first person to bring clarity to the Vibhuti Pada and Kaivalya Pada of the Yoga Sutras. I view him as the single greatest expert on reincarnation and kaivalya I have ever encountered.

Last but not least, Tabauhris was a master of the heart. He never lost contact with his inner child, and he brought an incredible amount of fun into every experience. It was always an adventure with Tabauhris, and although it is over, part of me feels like it has just begun.

At an early age, teachers recognized his innate intelligence, and his peers enjoyed his incredible sense of humor. He was accepted to several colleges and briefly attended the University of Maine. He worked a variety of jobs in sales and became a certified yoga instructor in 2022. Tabauhris had his struggles but made efforts to try to combat those as best as he was able to. He loved music, the outdoors, the ocean, swimming and yoga. He also loved his mother and family dearly. He was a very physically strong young man who had a giving and caring heart and a smile that light up the room. He wanted nothing more than to be as successful as possible to give back to his mother and all those that had given to him. His untimely death, before he had that chance to do that is a heartbreaking and tragic loss of a gifted and beautiful young man. “To know him was to love him”.
