How this register was selected and mapped

121 Idaho state-champion records across 117 published species and varieties, from all 17 table pages of the University of Idaho’s June 13, 2019 register, retrieved October 11, 2026. Both trees in each of four state co-champion pairs remain separate records. The European white birch’s combined state and national co-champion designation is retained as a historical source label; national comparison trees in other states are excluded. The program page still links this register and warns that some trees may no longer be alive. This dated snapshot does not confirm current champion status or condition.

All 121 records use 29 approximate Census county points. They do not locate individual trees or establish visiting permission. Published “Adam” is matched to Adams County. The golden weeping willow’s Cambridge / Idaho County location conflicts with another Cambridge listing in Washington County; its published county is retained and flagged for confirmation. Owner and nominator names, detailed locations, street addresses, and tree coordinates are omitted.

Scientific names, varieties, measurements, and points remain as published. DBH and circumference are in inches; height is in feet. The PDF’s “1/4 AVE. CROWN” column is quarter-average crown spread in feet: we retain that original value and multiply it by four to display full average spread. Nomination years are shown separately; no measurement dates are inferred.
