How this register was selected and mapped

All 127 entries from the Native Ohio Champion Trees list are included, checked against all six table pages (1–127 of 127) in screenshots captured October 9, 2026. All 126 non-native entries are also included, checked against all six non-native pages (1–126 of 126).

Names, circumference in inches, height and crown spread in feet, scores, and counties follow the published tables. Separate rows are retained even when species repeat, including both Black Ash trees, both Pawpaw trees, both Scarlet Oaks, and both entries for Crataegus coccinea var. pringlei. The non-native table also repeats Common Apple, Hedge Maple, and Western Red Cedar; every row remains included. The two Western Red Cedar rows have identical measurements and county and may refer to the same tree. Membership in the native or non-native list follows the source table.

252 records use 67 approximate Census county points. Gray Birch has no county in the source and remains searchable without a marker. Measurement dates, exact tree locations, and visiting access are not supplied. American elm retains the published 333 points despite a discrepancy with its measurements.
