How this register was selected and mapped

Florida Forest Service’s online register, retrieved October 8, 2026. Of 600 summary rows, 313 carry Florida Champion, Florida Co-Champion, National Champion, or National Co-Champion designations. Two identical repeated IDs (155 and 1270) are included once each, yielding 311 records. Challengers, emeritus, discontinued, nominees, and unknown designations are excluded. The import includes 48 co-champions. IDs 930 and 272 retain champion labels but list zero for every measurement and score; both remain with a source warning.

Published names, measurements, scores, and titles are retained without re-ranking. National titles are Florida source designations and have not been independently verified against the national register. The summary does not supply measurement dates; individual source links provide further details. This snapshot does not confirm current tree condition.

All records use 47 approximate county points from the Census Bureau’s 2025 Gazetteer. Tree coordinates, ownership, and visiting permission are not imported from the detail pages. Access remains unclassified here; consult the official record and current site guidance before visiting.
