How this register was selected and mapped

Kentucky Division of Forestry’s official register, retrieved October 7, 2026. Each source card is imported once by its published ID, including 14 co-champion records. Names, measurements, published scores, nomination dates, and national labels are retained. National designations are not independently verified. Three measurement-date fields contain “pdf”; these remain undated with a source note. Swamp cottonwood appears both as a record and in the page’s list of species without champions; its record carries a status warning.

All 107 records use approximate Census points for 57 counties. Source county fields containing co-champion labels or “Co” are preserved alongside the matched county. The source labels 61 records private; other records remain unclassified for visiting access. Published coordinates are not used as map markers or evidence of permission. Consult the official program before planning a visit.
